Our Story
The Covenant Nation was dedicated in 1994 as Covenant Christian Centre and has flourished and grown into a church without walls. Embracing the next phase of the work of the ministry, saw the change in the name and logo of this assembly in January 2020 by the Senior pastor and founder, Pastor ‘Poju Oyemade.
The Ministry places strong emphasis on a personal relationship with Christ and communion with Him through the Word (the Bible) and this is consistently communicated from the pulpit. Practical insights on how to live and grow in the Christian faith is taught and encouraged in daily life, which makes an impact and difference in the world.
With Sunday attendance in more than twenty(20) centers running into thousands and a large online community and followers that identify with the ministry, this modern-day congregation has members all over the nation, in the UK, United States, Canada, and many more countries around the world. The UK and New York church branches also add their flavor to these diverse demographics.
The Ministry caters to congregants down to the individual level with its small groups systems; Life Fellowships (Prayer Cells) and Covenant Community Groups, which give the needed personal care to members. This can be as intimate as they so desire, with the spiritual, relational and some material needs attended to by these groups.
As a member of the larger body of Christ, the Covenant Nation heeds the call to ‘go make disciples of all nations’ (Matt 28:19) through its events and programs like The World Faith Believer’s Convention (WOFBEC), International Conference for Pastors, Ministers, Leaders and Workers (ICPLMW), The Platform (a National Development conference) and various community initiatives like Lagos Sees (Free Medical Eye Care to host communities), Edu-Aid (providing assistance to Public Primary Schools), Project WRAP (providing assistance to widows and families of deceased service personnel), Covenant Capital Business School (CCBS), The Lagos Career Fair and more.

Pastor Tayo Osiyemi
Resident Pastor
Pastor Tayo Osiyemi is a Christian leader called to spread the light of God’s kingdom to the world through authentic living, teaching and mentoring. He is passionate about seeing men and women maximize their God-given potential and become value adding members of the church community and the wider society.
Tayo received salvation at age 14, while living with his parents and siblings in the northern part of Nigeria. His faith in Jesus led him to commit to serving as a teenager in his local church leading a worship team. He went on to serve in various capacities through this university days as worship leader, general secretary and eventually became the president of a campus fellowship with over 700 students in weekly attendance. Since leaving the university in 2007, Tayo has led and pastored local campuses and currently serves as campus pastor of The Covenant Nation, Lekki under the leadership of our global Senior Pastor, Poju Oyemade.
Tayo started his professional career as a management consultant working across multiple projects within the financial services and payment industry, before he took on management roles in an engineering firm, a trading firm and a sourcing and manufacturing firm. He has worked in c-suite roles for over a decade and his experience spans various business functions, including business development, growth strategy, procurement, process engineering and project management.
He currently serves as Executive Director at SKLD Integrated Services Limited, a company specialized in the manufacturing and trading of educational, office, and lifestyle supplies, garment production, and humanitarian aid procurement through contracts, wholesale, retail, and online channels. Tayo is also the President and co- founder of an EdTech startup, Harde Business School, that has successfully attracted over 40,000 learners since its launch in May 2022.
Tayo holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, USA. He is a certified Project Management Professional.
Tayo is joyfully married to Agnes Osiyemi and they are together blessed with two daughters, Ifejesu Valerie and Orejesu Victoria.

As a visionary singer-songwriter, Victor has crafted two critically acclaimed albums that showcase his lyrical depth, melodic genius, and genre-bending style. His electrifying and energetic ministrations as a worship leader have blessed audiences around the Nation and made him a sought-after Music director/Worship Team HOD in iconic churches, including Christ Embassy Akoka, FOTA, RCCG The Father's House and The Covenant Temple Lekki.
Beyond the pulpit, Victor's passion for mentorship has given birth to the Worshippers Community, a pioneering initiative where he generously shares his expertise and nurtures worship leader’s pro bono.
As a shrewd entrepreneur, Victor co-founded an engineering building design, and construction company, leveraging his creative flair and business acumen to drive innovation and excellence. His leadership has earned him a reputation as a visionary and a trailblazer in his field.

Shola Ogunyemi serves as an Associate Pastor at TCN Lekki Temple, where he supports the Campus Pastor in building a first-born congregation whose members are aware of their roles as Light to their surroundings. He is committed to teaching and modelling biblical truths, mentoring believers, and inspiring transformation through faith and personal development.
As a Chartered Marketer with over 20 years of experience in marketing, brand management, corporate communication, and customer experience, 'Shola seamlessly integrates strategic leadership with his commitment to ministry.
Shola is a life coach and NLP practitioner, helping individuals discover their purpose and maximize their potential. Alongside his wife, 'Bimpe, he serves as a marriage counselor, guiding couples through biblical principles to build strong, thriving relationships rooted in love and faith. Together, they have counselled and supported many couples and individuals in their walk with God.
Shola is deeply committed to community impact and volunteerism. In 2010, he and his wife co-founded an NGO that serves vulnerable populations, including street children, juveniles in trouble, and ex-convicts seeking a fresh start. The organization's purpose is to uplift lives by helping them experience the love and compassion of Christ.
A devoted family man, 'Shola has been happily married for 18 years and is blessed with three wonderful children. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, travelling, and watching movies and exploring creative pursuits such as music, theatre, photography, and art collection.
Above all, 'Shola's mission is to help people find their purpose in Christ and thrive in every aspect of life—spiritually, professionally, and personally.
